FAQ’S
Aquastep is manufactured from recycled plastics wood and stone. It is laminated with a high wear resistant topical layer suitable for kitchens and throughout the home. Aquastep incorporates the latest in out decking technology and traditional wood floors.
HOW QUIET IS AQUASTEP?
Aquastep is manufactured from a strong dense base of recycled plastics and stone and is inherently more quiet than regular hardwood flooring and laminates. Air cavities incorporated into the flooring further reduce the impact of sound, making Aquastep up to 30% quieter.
CAN I INSTALL AQUASTEP MYSELF?
Aquastep can be easily installed by any DIY enthusiast. Just be sure to have a second cutting blade at the ready if installing larger areas, as Aquastep is strong and hard and will wear your cutting blades quicker than traditional wood flooring.
CAN I USE AQUASTEP OUTDOORS?
No. Aquastep is an internal flooring. Whilst the Aquastep base material is often used in modern outdoor decking, the surface layer will degrade if installed outdoors. Avoid extended direct sunlight and broiling temperatures .
Aquastep has been tested extensively for known VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and achieves the an international E0 rating. VOC’s were not detected, including formaldehyde emissions.

Yes you can, but do not leave your steaming mop in one place and forget about it. Long term exposure to direct sources of excessive heat may cause discolouring. Whilst Aquastep may be waterproof, it is not designed to be flexible, and should not be bent to accommodate sudden falls in levels. Aquastep must be installed on a flat level surface. Use if your floor is flat and draining toward one corner.Your floor must be prepared correctly. Using recommended adhesives only, glue down your installation, ensuring all panel edges are additionally glued using cross link pva adhesive. Silicone edges. Bathrooms should not be installed as a floating floor.
TERMITES?
Aquastep is termite proof and is perfectly suited to humid tropical climates and any areas where termites may be a problem.
